Lesliayn Miller first become interested in massage therapy at the young age of 11. Her mother had a therapist come to the house to give Lesliayn a massage, and she knew then it would be a great field for her.
Path to the Profession
She was trained at the Center For Advanced Therapeutics in Denver, Colorado in 2004 and for 9 years honed her skills as an independent practitioner. She then graduated from Cortiva Institute in Hoboken, New Jersey in 2013, there she focused on assisted stretching, myofascial and other advanced clinical techniques. Over the past 5 years, Lesliayn has earned certification in prenatal modalities as well as furthering her knowledge of myofascial and stretching techniques and manual lymphatic drainage to specifically address a variety of issues.
Tenure at Balance Orlando
Lesliayn has worked in professional spa settings, but is more interested in the healing aspects of massage. She’s been at Balance since 2013, and appreciates that at Balance, the emphasis is on making people well, not selling packages.
Lesliayn’s massages are more than just relaxing: she will alleviate pain, improve mobility, help reduce stress and promote an overall sense of well being.
“I came to Balance at 30 weeks pregnant, not ever even having a massage before in my life. However I was willing to try anything natural to relieve some achiness I’d been experiencing in my back region mostly. Ever since I’ve left I have noticed bending over or sitting in one position for too long does not hurt or ache anymore. Also I feel as though I don’t have the need to slouch as much & sleeping last night I didn’t toss and turn as much! I was a little shocked about the fact that a massage can run you 100 dollars, but you definitely get what you pay for! Lesliayn I believe was my masseuse’s name, she was great & comforting.”
